Your mission is clear
is your brand?

You're doing important work. But if your brand isn't reflecting that clearly — across your website, your messaging, your social presence — you're leaving trust, donors, and impact on the table.

The Brand Ecosystem Audit is how I help mission-driven organizations see themselves the way the outside world does — and build a clear path forward.

See Clearly

Over 20 years of working with nonprofits, I've seen the same pattern repeat itself. The mission is real. The team is passionate. The work is genuinely making a difference. But the brand? It's been patched together over time — a logo from one era, a website from another, social content written by whoever had a free hour.

Nobody planned it that way. That's just how it happens when you're focused on the mission.

The brand audit is the thing I wish more organizations had done before we started a bigger project together.

I built this service because most organizations don't need a full rebrand — they need clarity on what's actually broken and what to fix first. That's what this delivers. A structured, honest, expert assessment of your brand ecosystem. Written in plain language. Actionable from day one.

What I evaluate
01
Brand Foundation

Does your positioning and mission clarity come through in plain language — or only in the room?

02
Visual Identity

Logo, color, typography — and whether your visual system holds together across every touchpoint

03
Messaging and voice

Does your org sound like itself everywhere? Or does your tone shift depending on who wrote it that week?

04
Digital Presence

Website structure, SEO basics, mobile experience, and whether your donation flow actually converts

05
Content & Communications

Are you showing up consistently — and purposefully — or just filling space?

06
Campaign readiness

Do you have the brand infrastructure to actually support your next campaign — or are you building the plane while flying it?

how it works

01 - We start the conversation

A focused set of questions about your org, your brand history, your challenges, and what's coming next. Takes about 25 minutes. This is where I start listening.

02 - I do the work

I assess all six zones of your brand ecosystem — your public presence, your internal materials, and in some tiers, how you compare against peer organizations. No templates. No shortcuts.

03 - You get a clear report

A structured PDF written for your ED or board — not a designer. Zone-by-zone findings, honest ratings, and your top three priorities. Something you can actually act on.

04 - We talk through it together

Depending on your tier, we debrief live — walking through findings, answering questions, and mapping out what makes sense as a next step. (There's no obligation to work with me further. The audit stands on its own.)

Choose Your Scope

These tiers are priced for nonprofit budgets. Not as a courtesy. Because this is the only sector I work in and I built the service around what organizations like yours can actually spend.

Nonprofit landscape review

A structured analysis of how your brand compares against 3–5 peer or aspirational organizations — is available as a standalone add-on or as part of the Strategic tier of the Brand Ecosystem Audit. If you want to understand where you have white space and where your genuine strengths are invisible to the outside world, this is the service for that.

I use AI-assisted competitive analysis to gather and structure the data, then apply 20 years of nonprofit brand experience to interpret what it actually means for your organization.

A few things people ask

What do I need to provide?
A completed intake questionnaire and any internal brand materials you'd like included — guidelines, past campaigns, whatever you have. If you don't have much, that's fine. It's often telling.

Is this just going to tell me things I already know?

Sometimes, yes — and naming them clearly still has value. But most organizations are surprised by at least one or two findings. That's usually where the most useful work is.

Will this turn into a sales pitch?

No. The audit is a complete deliverable. If there's a natural next step that involves working together, I'll say so honestly. But you'll have everything you need to act on the findings independently.

Do you only work with nonprofits?

Yes. Mission-driven organizations are where my experience runs deepest, my knowledge is strongest, and my value shows up most.

Ready to see you brand clearly?

Before you spend another dollar on your brand, know exactly what needs fixing. Start with the assessment. I'll follow up within one business day.
